Moab trip -Year 2

We had so much fun on this trip but with anything there were a few bumps in the road! We tried to arrive early to find a campground and ended up pulling into a campground that didn't allow our size trailer and to make matters worse Mom and Keith pulled in behind us ( they have a huge fifth wheel) so it took us an hour to get out. But it was well worth it because this was the view from the campground we eventually found. Breathtaking...

Angie got this shot that of Emma and I simply adore it. I just can't get shots like this, she runs away from me but not for Aunt Angie!
Who doesn't like a little limbo in the desert. We are a special bunch!

We were the only ones who brought bikes so Parker was hooking Luke up with a ride, while Tate looks on.

Here is what we came to do. Last year I couldn't go because I was pregnant with Bella, so it was so fun to get to go this year. At first Daryl was going to stay back with Bella since I couldn't go last year but then my awesome Mom volunteered to take her so Daryl could go too.  Sorry Mom that Bella cried the whole time- she's a little attached:(  The second I came and got her she was fine.
Parker loved the river and keep yelling " That one- that one over there" pointing out to us where the white water was. As for little Emma she covered her eyes almost the whole time but sat up during the slow spots. She was a very good sport.

After the river run we took a drive with Angie and Anthony to this little Lake up the mountains. It was crazy that the temp changed from the rafting trip to the lake by like 30 degrees but it was beautiful even though it was cold!
Although I don't have pictures of our truck broken down on the side of the road( I thought about taking one but thought I might not want to remember that part of the trip). Luckily for us this didn't happen until we were on our way home (only an hour a way). We had to tow the truck and have our neighbor pick up our trailer(we have awesome neighbors!).  Unfortunately we have replace the whole engine so I have been getting a lot of use out of our bikes and bike trailer!

This post made me miss the West. I love Moab and all that desert landscape. The pictures are killer cute and you totally scored on your camp site...it looks isolated and perfect. I hope your summer continues to be adventurous and fun.
